Gracen Davis, a Master of Public Health and OU-TU School of Community Medicine fourth year medical student, recently presented her research findings during the Institute for Functional Medicine Annual Conference in Hollywood, Florida.
Gracen, along with Dr. Marianna Wetherill, Hudson College of Public Health and OU-TU School of Community Medicine faculty member, spoke about their research on Healthy Lifestyles, Healthy Communities: Preparing Tomorrow’s Physicians for Lifestyle Medicine Practice. Their poster presentation described nutrition and health-related behaviors of medical students, and how these factors contribute to student knowledge and confidence in counseling patients on lifestyle behavior change.
Gracen’s participation in the conference was made possible through an OU-Tulsa Student Research Travel Award presented during this year's OU-Tulsa Research Forum.
