Epoxy, screws, nuts, bolts; if it attaches, the BRT probably uses a lot of it. Individually, these items are cheap, but over the year they add up fast! Your donation could buy epoxy or screws for our competition rocket.
The body of the rocket must be strong enough to support the force of launch and lightweight enough so as not to drag us down. Your contribution could help is buy a strong enough body tube for the task.
In order to reach the optimal height, the rocket team is using an air brake system that can optimize deployment to reach exactly our target altitude. Your donation could buy one of the air brakes, or the lightweight computer that controls their deployment.
Although unexciting, travel costs will be one of the most expensive parts of the competition. The launch takes place over 3 days in New Mexico; travel donations will help pay for gas, food, and hotel rooms.
